GWF implements another viper online product

The WA Meat & Dairy division of George Weston Foods currently use viper:online>collaborate to communicate orders with their carriers. GWF's major carriers also use viper:online>accelerate to provide Proof Of Delivery documents electronically back to GWF.

So successful has GWF's M&D access to online documentation been that recently GWF WA M&D implemented viper:online>accelerate themselves! Rather than relying on their smaller carriers slowly taking up on the technology, GWF bypassed these obstacles and now scan in all documentation not scanned by their major carriers.

Effectively, GWF now have a complete and comprehensive document management system that will stand up to the most stringent of auditors.

Darrell Behan, GWF's Logistics Projects Manager, recently said 'The previous method was cumbersome and labour intensive with staff having to work with different processes for each of GWF's carriers with PODs not being available for weeks. viper has enabled us to centralise document management and increase accountability with PODs now being available within 48-72 hours of despatch. These processes were highlighted in a recent internal audit which showed that our document management processes were well above best current practice.'
